field recording 𓂃 artwork

contribution to L’ondée

This project marks the first time one of my field recordings was included on a compilation. In addition to contributing the audio piece, I was also invited to create the artwork for the release.

The selected recording was made in a small nature reserve near the place where I grew up. It captures a vivid, immersive moment shaped by a swirling presence of life: barnacle geese creating a strong spatial dynamic, frogs resonating in the background, and numerous subtle sonic details unfolding simultaneously. The piece remains raw and nearly unedited, preserving the integrity and atmosphere of the original experience.

Through this work, I aimed to highlight how a place close to home can hold remarkable emotional depth and intensity. The notion of territory is central to both the recording and the visual identity. The artwork reflects the site’s rootedness in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, emphasizing the intimate relationship between landscape, memory, and sound.
